Tree Harvesting

All types of forestry work undertaken, harvesting timber, felling dangereous trees, removing diseased trees eg with ash dieback .  The photo to the left shows ash boles (trunks)  specially grown and harvested for the Irish sport of hurling.  The curve at the foot of the bole is used to make the hurling stick known as a ‘hurley’ (camán in Irish)  <more>.

Other special forestry work includes working in restricted spaces, difficult or sloping terrain and where utmost care needs to be taken, such as close proximity to ancient trees or other environmental concerns.

We ‘re happy to consider all contract types.  We often work to the tonne of timber harvested and also by ‘day rate’, with other options to suit the customer and job.  Tree planting is usually ‘per tree’.
