Site preparation

Proper site prep is key to a successful tree planting site whether it is a restock or new woodland. We can provide different options tailored to suit each sites specific needs including mulching, flailing, brash raking or chemical application.

Tree planting/Woodland creation

Our establishment team has planted hundreds of thousands of trees across the Cotswolds, the midlands, the South West and Wales in the last decade. Having worked for both private and commercial landowners on sites of all sizes we have the experience and knowledge to plant successful woodlands for the future. These can be areas of forest aimed at silviculture and timber production or ecologically focused woodlands providing habitat creation and everything in between. Our range of machines means we are able to plant trees in remote locations even where access is very limited whilst causing minimal impact to the ground and soil structure.

Establishment/Maintenance work

An often overlooked but vital aspect of woodland creation is appropriate maintenance in the years after trees have been planted. We are equipped and fully trained in all types of maintenance work including mowing, brush cutting and chemical application to ensure the trees have the best chance to thrive.

Timber harvesting

We can provide both fully mechanised timber harvesting and extraction with our harvester, forwarder and winches as well as low impact methods such as motor-manual harvesting. We work with landowners to provide them with an income from their woodland through timber sales whilst also ensuring that a neat and tidy job is our top priority. We have experience in clearfells as well as  selective thinning operations which improve the quality of a woodland for future generations.
